Description of Case Study: This system was installed to help offset the large amount of hot water that is used in this apartment and office building, which is currently heated by an oil furnace. Three 60 gallon tanks were attached to the 9 banks of evacuated tubes (for a total of 180 tubes).

The solar hot water system is currently not working
properly and needs to be improved. The owner knows that the technology works fine, but is not satisfied with the installation as it currently stands.
