Biomass

Energy from the sun can be found stored in both plant matter and animal waste. This energy is called bioenergy and the matter is biomass. Sources of biomass fuel include wood, agriculture residue, pulp/paper mill residue, and urban wood waste.

The technologies that harness Biomass as a fuel maybe as familiar as the old wood stove or as new as biomass digester which produce bio-gas for heating, cooking or generating electricity.

We are even finding new and better ways to use the age old source of wood heat.

Wood

New stoves that burn solid wood run at around 50-70% efficiency, produce far less particulate air pollution than their old-fashioned predecessors and are renewable, locally produced.

Pellets
Pellet stoves burn pellets that are generally made from wood waste. They burn cleanly, are highly efficient, and prevent millions of tonnes of renewable fuel from being wasted.

Densified Hardwood
Densified Hardwood Fire Logs are produced from hardwood shavings which are a by-product of the hardwood flooring industry. With absolutely no additives, they can be used safely in your existing wood stove or fireplace.
