New Solar Thermal Water Heating System at the Falls Brook Centre On May 21st the Falls Brook Centre appropriate technology team along with representatives of H&B Sunrays and Eastern Renewable Technologies installed a new evacuated tube solar thermal water heating system for the central shared bathing and laundry facilities for Falls Brook Centre interns and guests. The system is cranking out heat using the abundant solar energy arriving on our rooftop. This system is the second solar thermal system installed at FBC, the first was a thermodynamics flat plate collector system installed by Independent Power Systems. The new evacuated tube system rounds out our solar thermal demonstrations and gives our appropriate technology team another system to experience and learn from. That experience and learning can then be shared with the people of New Brunswick.
