Solar Fair 2008 in Fredericton
SESCI (the Solar Energy Society of Canada) is in its 34th year of advocating for greater utilization of solar and other renewable resources. Toward this aim SESCI held Solar Fair 2008, August 22 -24 in Fredericton, NB. Solar Fair 2008 was an opportunity to celebrate and learn about renewable energy and showcased:
- Local renewable energy installations visited during the Solar Homes Tour.
- Exhibits with the latest in renewable energy technologies;
- Workshops featuring topics ranging from explorations of the latest in renewable technology, to solar economies, to experiences in going off grid in NB;
- The Falls Brook Center’s Climate Change Bus putting renewable energy into action;
- Live, solar powered music and;
- Activities and games for the whole family.
