FBC’s Barn Concert Series
Ryan LeBlanc and Andreas Godoy at Falls Brook Centre
The old barn at 125 Knowlesville Road has seen a lot of excitement lately, as Falls Brook Centre has continued its Barnyard concert series with the quiet awe-inspiring performances of Ryan LeBlanc and Andreas Godoy.
Ryan LeBlanc, from St. Andrews, NB began learning guitar by endlessly rewinding and playing his cassette tape collection to emulate the sounds of his favorite artists. He has combined his guitar, harmonica and cajón into a single man mutli-instrumental show that is as mind-boggling as it is pleasing to the ear.
Andres Godoy was 14 years old living in his native Chili, when a tragic accident took one of his arms. At first he despaired to ever play the guitar but over time Andres experimented, persevered and developed a unique style of playing guitar one-handed that surpasses many highly skilled musicians and certainly shares with us with a very inspirational story.
The two artists each filled the barn with instrumental resonance, swatted flies and did not miss a beat. FBC board members, staff, visitors and a few locals, put their donations into the hat that was passed around, and bought some of the CDs the musicians were carrying on their house (or in our case barn) concert tour.
