Energy Efficiency Workshop through Falls Brook Centre

Falls Brook Centre has been organizing a workshop with The River Valley Arts Alliance (RiVA) and Efficiency NB to take place this April 10th at 702 Main Street, Woodstock, that will focus on making sure homes and buildings are the most energy efficient they can be.

If you’re interested in understanding how much energy your home or office building uses, and how you may be able to reduce that. This workshop is for you!

This workshop will follow an energy audit process through 702 Main Street, a 130 year old Victorian house in downtown Woodstock. The building is in the process of becoming a community artist cooperative through a number of fundraising initiatives and volunteer activities.

The auditing process includes blown air tests, and a thorough walk-through of the house looking at insulations, doors, windows, and appliances to access the current level of efficiency of the house.

After the audit, we will have the opportunity to view the results (which usually take some time to produce) from an earliery audit and the recommendations to remedy any deficiencies.

Next Joe Waugh from Efficiency NB will go over various options and programs available through the Efficiency NB and the government to do renovations and make improvements.

Registration and payment for the workshop will begin at 9:00am with the workshop starting at 9:30am at 702 main street, Woodstock, NB.
