Environmental World Council

The Environmental World Council gives students the chance to explore rights and duties as global citizens through the study of environmentaly related cases and role playing activities. It puts participants in ‘someone else’s shoes’ and then create connections between our actions as individuals and their impacts on the global community. [Designed for High School, grades 11 and 12].

Environmental and Climate Justice Workshop

Introduces students to the concept of environmental governance within the context of environmental and climate justice. The workshop explores the interaction of individuals and the world and presents the documented experience of Canadian organizations working to promote both ecological and social justice in a development context. [Designed for Elementary, Middle and High School, grades 4 to 12].

Sustainable School Workshop

Using the school and the surrounding community for inspiring wonder and critical analysis, students explore the links between their actions, the immediate environment and the global environment. By developing a greater awareness of the impact of their actions, students are encouraged to think critically about their role as global environmental stewards. The workshops explore four main indicators of sustainability: waste generation, water usage, energy consumption and biodiversity. [Designed for Middle School, grades 6, 7 and 8].
