Organic Agriculture

Falls Brook Centre practices and promotes sustainable organic agriculture and supports local organic food systems both locally and internationally.

Our 2.5 acres of certified organic gardens are the ideal outdoor classroom, used to share and learn about growing food with staff, interns, visitors and volunteers; while filling our kitchens and winter storage with bountiful harvests. Our practice spreads from local to international, partnering with communities also focused on reaping the rewards of organic agriculture methods for appropriate land management and sustainable lifestyles.
Falls Brook Centre has been certified organic since 1999 with the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA).
Falls Brook Centre is a member of International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM )  a member of Canadian Organic Growers (COG) and also a member of the Atlantic Canadian Regional Network (ACORN)
